I have always had a calling for video work. The first time I made a video was July 24th, 2012. The video consisted of my uncles and myself attempting to survive a zombie apocalypse. I grew up around my uncles and I was very close to them as I did not have any brothers. Hanging out in a small town having nothing to do, we spent most of our time playing Xbox, riding bikes and recording videos on an Ipod touch. The things that I enjoyed reflected in the videos we made.
Years later, I played in a band during high school. For each show, I would bring my GoPro and set it up in the corner to record and edit after. Each time I would record more and more till a point came where I started to do video work more than music. A defining moment for me was when the band I was in worked with a local music video creator to create our own music video for one of our songs. I was so fascinated in the process of creating the video, from setting it up, to recording, to editing. It was at this moment that I knew I wanted to work with video for the rest of my life.
With video, I am able to visually show the ideas I have inside my head to others. Because of my involvement in the music scene, it was easy for me to start working with local musicians to create music videos. Being a musician myself, I knew what kind of camera angles they wanted to see for each shot. As I grew more in my talents, I looked to other video creators such as Chrystopher Rhodes, a Music Video Director, and Hayden Pederson, a YouTube Content Creator. These video creators have had huge influences in my work and have inspired me to create.
My goal as a film maker is to tell a story with each video that I make. I always strive to release content that I am passionate about and will entertain the viewer in some way. Creating videos has given me the opportunity to collaborate with other creative minds and create videos I never would have done without them. I love being a film maker because not only can I create stories through video and share it to the world, but I can do it with others as well.
My name is Tony Trad and I am from central Illinois. I love meeting new people, getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things. I have a passion for Videography/Photography and I incorporate those in my every day life. When I am not behind the camera, I am behind the drum kit. I play drums on the worship team at my church and my passion for God grows more, each and every day. Thank you for taking the time to read, have a fantastic day!
